Some quick and personal notes from Chris (photos soon to come):
Stuck In Suburbia
To whom it may concern, The
Scoop. Chris "Lucky Dog" Luckette Born 10/23/58 Baptist Hosp. N.O. Raised
in Jefferson. Played baseball and football in high school and in the band. For
one yeat age 11 got guitar, beat on it. Age 12 got drum, more like it. After
school I did lots of practice. Age 18 joined Elmo Glipp Group. Kiss to Boston to
Rush to Santana. Identity crisis. Then came punk. I was reluctant at first, but
it grew on me. After a few rehearsals with The Normals, I loved it. The band
evolved quickly. By Dec. of 79 I was forced to leave the band, due to my
pregnant wife I left behind while in N.Y. persuing stardom. After being home for
2 weeks Totally Cold's Kevin Radeskea called and I was in a new band. This band
became The Cold Ltd. For 3 years over a 4 year span The Cold ruled the New Wave
scene in N.O. Just another band defunct by a marriage. Babs became a mother. Now
she has 4 children. Wow! The Cold planned a reunion show 1999 Thanksgiving
weekend at the Howlin' Wolf. 2nd CD due out Nov. 99.
Another band of
mention was Dash Rip Rock, Road Dogs, 6 1/2 years. Crazy lifestyle. Road for
[untranslatable] sucks and is impossible for a relationship. In 95 I left Dash
for numerous reasons. Mostly I was discouraged with the industry and late night
personalities. Dash lives on. Favorite Dash C.D. Boiled Alive. Sounds great.
Really loud.
Other bands through my existence: Force of Habit 1 1/2 years
1 C.D. Bootleg, Psuedo Dules, Rockabyes, Petries, Cronicks, Nebula, Promises,
Lenny Zenith, Pink Bikini, Rick SLave & Phantoms, Dixie Tall Boys
"original", Blackened Blues Band, Bluebirds, Swinging Haymakers, Mike Deleserta
Band, and I'm now playing w/ Kim Carson & The Casualties, and Bayou Blues
Band. I still enjoy playing music but have no plans of making it big. Local
only.
